Cancellation Policy:  Cancellations requested prior to Feb. 3, 2018:  $100 cancellation fee.  No refunds after Feb. 3, 2018.  If the conference limit has been met by the time of conference, there will be no on-site registration.  If cancellation is requested, (regardless of timing), and participant paid with a credit card, the refunded amount will be credited to the same card.  If paid by a check, a check will be returned once the original check has cleared the participant's financial institution.

  • Professional Development and Mentoring Luncheons - FREE to ATTEND!
AAHB Members and Students:  1st 25 students/members receive a Free lunch, badge required.  (Lunches will be provided on a 1st come/1st serve basis to students/members who are attending the PDMC session), Note:  This is a NEW way to distribute the free lunches)  Free lunches provided by support of AAHB Fellows!
$45 fee for lunch if wanted for non-members  or members after 1st 25 Free Lunches.  If paying for lunch, must order and pay 2 weeks before meeting.  Attendees may also bring your own lunch.
  • Breakfast Roundtables:  Because complimentary breakfast is served for guests at the Embassy Suites, eat breakfast, bring your breakfast or morning beverage and gather with others to discus various topics on the Mezzanine level. If you are not staying at the Embassy Suites - be sure to eat breakfast or bring breakfast with you to the Breakfast Roundtables!

Meals
Included in registration fee: Opening reception (one drink per person and hors d'oeurves, mid-morning snacks, and a complementary drink/cheese & crackers at each nightly poster session/social.
In addition to the amazing dining options at Embassy Suites, Downtown Portland, there are wonderful restaurants, bars, coffee shops, and small groceries close distance from the hotel.  A listing of these dining options will be available upon registration.

Annual Poster Awards
Each year at the Annual Meeting of the Academy, the AAHB awards an Outstanding Research Poster, an Outstanding Student Research Poster and Posters of Distinction. Awards are announced at the closing session of the meeting (on Wednesday morning).  To see last year's poster award winners, Click HERE

Special Conference Room Rate : $209/night + 12.5% current state plus 2% TID Oregon Assessment = $239.31

After this date, all rooms not guaranteed by deposit, credit card or the Master Account will be released for general sale.

STUDENTS:  There are a very LIMITED number of Standard 2 Queen bed Suites reserved for students who wish to share.  The standard 2 Queen bed rate is $219/night + 12.5% state tax ($27.38) + 2% Oregon Assessment ($4.38) = $250.76.

All reservations must be guaranteed and accompanied by a first night room deposit or guaranteed with a major credit card. This deposit is refundable if notice is received at least 24 hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.  All deposits may be charged at the time the reservation is made.

All ‘no show’ reservations will be billed to each individual’s credit card. The cancellation of guaranteed reservations must be received seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a charge equal to one night’s room and applicable taxes.

Check in time is 3:00 PM, and check out time is  Noon/12:00 PM
